Our service now covers areas all across Canada

How can I get quotes?

You can use our online form to send us your project details or you can contact us directly by phone and we will assist you. Once we have received your project information, we will send it to our best local contractors and they will contact you afterwards.

How much does it cost?

This service is entirely free for you. The contractors cover the cost for this service. They only pay a small fee per project (generally between $5 and $100) and don’t have to pay any commissions. Therefore, they can remain competitive and offer you a great price.

How can I be assured of the quality level of the contractors that you have referred to me?

We have a ranking system for our contractors which is based on several factors including:

  • The quality of the work

We send surveys to people who have used our services so that they can evaluate the contractors they met with

  • Professionalism

We take into account the comments we get in that respect

  • Geographic proximity

This is one of the main factors taken into account when sending projects to contractors

  • Services offered by the contractor

Contractors manage and check off the services they offer within their profile, which means that your project will only be sent to them if it represents the type of work that they are able to complete

Once your project is sent into the system, we refer contractors that are at the top of our list.

Am I obligated to choose one of the contractors that you have referred to me?

The choice is entirely up to you: you can pick any contractor that you want or even decide to complete the renovation project on your own if you feel that this would best suit your needs.

How many contractors will contact me for my project?

Generally, you can expect to be in contact with 3 contractors. However, during certain times of the year as well as for specific regions and specific services, we may be unable to refer certified contractors. If this happens, we’ll let you know as soon as possible while also offering tools for you to check on contractors you may come across.

How can I transmit my evaluation of the contractor’s work?

If we haven’t contacted you through our Quality Control program, do not hesitate to contact us and we will be glad to get your feedback on your entrepreneur. Using your comments, we will be able to make our service even better for future users.

What is your privacy policy?

Your information will only be shared with the contractors that we will refer to you. You can read our full privacy policy on our website.

Why are you asking for my contact information?

Your contact information allows us to help carry out your project. The contact information of the contractors who are interested in your project will be sent to you by e-mail. By having your phone number, we can call you to discuss the specific details relating to your project. Once your project has been entered into our system, this phone number will be sent to the contractors who are looking to set up a meeting with you (those who pay for the information, no more than 4 companies).

Your home address allows us to locate where the renovation project will take place and to find the best local contractors.

Why do need me to explain my project with so much detail?

In order to find the best contractors for your renovation project, we need to have the right information so we can have a good idea of exactly what you are expecting. Your project will also seem more interesting to contractors; therefore, they are more likely to pay the fee to get your contact information.

Why do I have to plan a budget for my project?

Planning your renovation budget is decisive. Not only will it allow the contractors to know more about the extent of the project, but it will also prevent you from spending money you don’t have.

Who are you and what exactly do you do?

We are a private company that brings together renovation contractors and clients. We send your projects to contractors that cover your geographical area and that offer the type of service that you are looking for. These contractors will then get in touch with you, in order to evaluate your renovation project and to give you a quote.

Will the contractors come to my house?

In most cases, contractors will come over to evaluate your project and to quote the price. Depending on the project’s specific characteristics, the contractor needs to see the place where the job will be carried out, so they can get a better idea of the work that has to be done. Therefore, it’s almost always better for them to come over to make a proper quote.

What is the delay to get a quote?

The average delay to start getting contacted by contractors is 48h. Following that, the delay to get a quote depends on the type of project, the contractor’s availability and your own availability. Therefore, we suggest that you tell us in advance about the desired time frame for the work starting date, in order to get more quote requests for your renovation project.

What happens if I have a problem with a contractor?

Unfortunately, since we process tens of thousands of projects every year, on rare occasion it may happen that things do not go as planned. As soon as you see the beginning of a problematic situation, you have to act. In the beginning, try to find an amicable agreement with the contractor, to make sure the whole thing is not a misunderstanding.

Contractors who are part of the network are certified, so you will have several recourses if ever a dispute arises. If the contractor has an RBQ license (Quebec province only), you may have access to their license bond if compensation is required.

Lastly, is associated with an organization that helps people send demand letters, gives access to an online negotiation platform and provides affordable lawyer services to discuss your case. If you are experiencing a problematic situation with a contractor that we have referred to you, we will be able to put you in touch with this organization and will assume some costs (in certain situations).
