Canada Waterproofers Inc.

Canada Waterproofers has been helping homeowners solve basement water, foundation, drainage and plumbing problems across Southern Ontario since 1998. Rather than treating every leak the same way, our team looks at the full water-management picture around the home before deciding what repair makes sense.

A basement leak can come from a foundation crack, hydrostatic pressure, aging weeping tile, poor grading, sump pump failure, drainage issues or sewer backup.

Our job is to determine the cause first, explain it clearly and then recommend the right solution for that specific property.

Our work includes basement waterproofing, interior drainage systems, exterior foundation waterproofing, foundation crack repair, weeping tile repair and replacement, sump pumps, battery backup systems, backwater valves, sewer and drain repair, hydro jetting, camera inspections, plumbing, underpinning and flood-prevention solutions.

Canada Waterproofers is owner-operated and led by Carl McDowell and Slava Koval. The company has 20+ experienced technicians, 500+ years of combined industry experience and more than 15,000 homes protected. Our leadership brings hands-on experience in waterproofing, plumbing, drainage, underpinning, building renovation and water damage restoration.

We are fully licensed, insured and WSIB covered, with $5 million in liability insurance. Qualifying waterproofing systems are backed by a lifetime transferable warranty, subject to written terms and exclusions. We also offer free on-site assessments and written estimates, 24/7 emergency service and a Price Match Guarantee on qualifying comparable work.

Our team has received 20+ industry awards and recognitions, including HomeStars Best of the Best 2025, HomeStars Best of Awards 2026 and Best of TrustedPros 2020.
