With the new year starting and the wind of renewal that is blowing in, paint companies are currently announcing their colour of the year. These companies are offering eclectic and creative palettes, which perfectly follow the trends of the coming year.
For 2020, we will among other things find colours inspired by nature, organic elements, and which convey a sense of well-being at home. It is with growing ecological awareness among the population that they were inspired to make these different colours that are reminiscent of the outdoors, with the thought of bringing such elements inside the house.

Benjamin Moore Paint
A fresh palette. A revitalized spirit. A soft, rosy hue blooming with potential. Benjamin Moore's Colour of the Year 2020, First Light 2102-70, is the backdrop for a bright new decade.
This blurb is how the company describes its colour for the year 2020. A pale pink-tinged with blush, this shade revives and invigorates your room. It perfectly represents interior design trends that we have seen more and more in recent months, perfect for any season or any style. BEHR paint
For the BEHR brand, Back To Nature S340-4 is the official colour of the year 2020. This is a pale green shade with yellow hues, inspired by nature and "biophilic design", which evokes calm from the outdoors as transposed to your interior spaces.
This choice for the new year perfectly reflects the growing eco-conscious movement and aims to inspire you to reconnect with nature for a positive impact on your well-being. Behr describes this colour in three words: peaceful, elegant, balanced. It is part of a selection of 15 colours for 2020, which the company describes as follows:
The Behr 2020 Colour Trends palette was inspired by natural elements such as sky, earth, water and plant life. Seasonal changes and world exploration also play a role in how we relate to colour. Each hue was selected to work well alone or in combination to create a unique look for your home and style.

Betonel-Dulux Paint
For 2020, the Betonel-Dulux colour of the year is Chinese Porcelain (DLX1160-6), an inspiring neutral blue. Perfect as an accent colour, this shade evokes calm and freshness and can easily be combined with lighter colours to make them more radiant.
Like Behr, Dulux is inspired by classic and modern styles, all while remaining simple. The trendy colours included in their palette for 2020 " take inspiration from earth’s elements, with colours are richly organic yet serene, and show a hint of retro." The nuances drawing on mineral and warm tones aim to rejuvenate and revive your space.

Sico Paint
As for Sico, the colour for 2020 has not yet been announced. However, the star of 2019 is a dark green shade in the name of Grand Manan Black (6161-83). As suggested by its name, it is quite dark and aims to embody deep green shades of the forest. The latter is the starting point for a theme centred around nature, with other proposed colours making obvious references to it.

Modern civil engineering requires the precise redirection of liquid volumes to maintain the structural integrity of developed land. When construction projects replace permeable soil with non-porous surfaces like asphalt or concrete, the earth's natural capacity for moisture absorption is eliminated. This transformation forces precipitation to accumulate into a high-velocity lateral surge that gains kinetic energy as it follows the site's grading.
